Victor D'Anzi

50x AR Poster Exhibition

I worked on an animated self-portrait for the 50x Augmented Reality (AR) Exhibition at Film Fest Gent 2023.

Scanning the poster with your cell phone will reveal its animation.

The animation is a loop made primarily in 3D Animation in ZBrush and Maya, rendered with toon shading with Arnold. The 2D animation of the facial features was animated with a quick 2D rig in Nuke, where I also did final compositing. I only had 1 weekend to work on the project.

Breakdown of the project in three layers: the 3D render, the toon shading lines, and the 2D facial animation.
